MYM vs OnlyFans comes down to fees, currency and audience. MYM keeps 25% of subscriptions and 20% of push media, private media, lives and tips, then deducts bank fees of 3.5% or 7%. OnlyFans' terms set its fee at 20% of the fan payment. MYM is a French platform paying in euros; OnlyFans works in US dollars. You can run both, within one firm MYM rule.

## How do the fees compare on the same sale?

At the same price, MYM leaves the creator less of each sale. It charges more on subscriptions, takes bank fees from the VAT-inclusive amount, and calculates your share from the pre-VAT price.

Take a €10 monthly subscription bought by a fan in France, where VAT is 20%. The fan pays €12. MYM's formula takes 7% of the €12 as bank fees (€0.84), then keeps 25% of the remaining €9.16, so you receive €6.87, or 68.7% of your list price. On an account charged the 3.5% bank fee, you receive €7.19. That arithmetic is ours, using the formula in MYM's creator terms. OnlyFans' terms state a fee of 20% of the fan payment, which puts its headline share at 80%; we have not checked how OnlyFans handles VAT.

## How do payouts differ?

MYM pays in euros and only into a bank account you own. OnlyFans' terms say all fan payments and creator earnings are transacted in US dollars.

On MYM you choose a schedule, and transfers go out on Monday and Thursday mornings and on the 1st and 15th of the month. MYM says funds usually reach a European bank within 24 hours. ## Who is each platform's audience?

OnlyFans reports a much larger audience. MYM is smaller, rooted in France, and mixes adult creators with influencers in coaching, sport, arts and glamour.

MYM was founded in Lyon in 2019. Its app runs in eight languages, its help centre in four (French, English, Spanish and German), and its legal documents in French only. In a statement dated 23 June 2025, MYM said adult content made up 13% of what was published over the previous six months and 45% of creator revenue. ## How do content rules and discovery work on MYM?

Adult content is allowed on MYM but hidden by default behind age checks, and anything on your public feed must be non-explicit. Blurred media carry no such restriction. AI-generated media must be labelled, for example with #AI, and media must show the account holder, with proof of consent for anyone else who appears.

Discovery is partly in MYM's hands. The first two thirds of a fan's feed come from creators they subscribe to, used to subscribe to or have shown interest in, and the last third from creators MYM suggests. Search finds creators, not content, and only SuperStar accounts (50 active subscribers all month, two feed posts a week, replies within 48 hours on average) can be suggested beyond a search. We have not checked OnlyFans' content policy or discovery rules, so we leave them out.

## What does MYM allow if you also sell on OnlyFans?

Selling the same content elsewhere, yes. Steering MYM fans to OnlyFans, no.

MYM's user terms let you publish your paid MYM media on any other platform, provided that distribution is paid, and we found no exclusivity clause. The creator terms list any invitation to a user to join a competing platform as grounds for suspension or termination, and a suspended account cannot collect its earnings. ### Can I run MYM and OnlyFans at the same time?

Yes. MYM's terms allow you to distribute the media you sell on MYM through other platforms as long as that distribution is also paid, and they contain no exclusivity clause that we could find. The boundary concerns your MYM subscribers: asking one of them to follow you to a rival platform can get the MYM account suspended or closed. Advertise both accounts on your own social profiles instead.

### Should a new creator start on MYM or OnlyFans?

Start where your audience already is. If your followers are mostly French-speaking and used to paying in euros, MYM is the natural first account, and it suits influencers in coaching, sport or the arts as well as adult creators. If your audience is English-speaking or spread worldwide, OnlyFans, with its much larger reported fan base, usually makes more sense. Either way, get one account running on a steady routine before opening the second.

### Does MYM or OnlyFans pay creators more?

Per sale, OnlyFans does: its terms put the platform's fee at 20% of each fan payment. On MYM a subscription costs you a quarter in commission and other sales a fifth, and MYM first removes a bank charge worked out with VAT included (7% for adult and other high-risk accounts, 3.5% for the rest). Per month, what you earn depends far more on how many fans pay you on each platform, which follows your audience's country and language.
