How to Grow on MYM

Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated

Working out how to grow on MYM starts with accepting that the platform sends you limited traffic. Only the last third of a fan’s feed shows creators MYM suggests, and search matches creator names, never content. Most subscribers therefore have to come from your own audience elsewhere, then be kept month after month. No one can promise that growth, us included.

MYM is the French creator platform run by Air Medias SAS. The discovery rules below come from its terms of use and help centre, checked on 30 September 2026. MYM does not publish how it ranks suggestions or its Trending page, so anything beyond these rules is guesswork.

How much does MYM’s own discovery do for you?

Some, within narrow limits. The terms describe a feed built mostly from creators a fan already follows, a search box for names only, and a few placements MYM controls.

SurfaceHow MYM describes itWhat you can influence
Home feedFirst two thirds from creators the fan follows, followed or showed interest in; the last third “suggested” by MYMPosting public media regularly
SearchFinds creators, not content; only SuperStars can be suggested beyond the search itselfYour name and SuperStar status
Promoted public postsSuggestive, not explicit, no text or emoji, HD, aestheticThe quality of public posts
Homepage featuresEditorial choice or paid placement, and paid placement is markedLittle
TrendingRanking logic not publishedUnknown
“Interested” fansFans who starred, bookmarked, liked a public photo or left a checkout unfinished can receive your offers, at most every 7 daysOffers to those fans

The feed rules sit in section 5.2.1 of MYM’s terms of use (French only).

What does SuperStar status change?

It is the one badge that widens your reach inside search, and it lowers MYM’s fee by one percentage point under the contract. You earn it from activity, and MYM reviews it on the first of each month.

The help centre sets the bar at 50 active subscribers throughout the month, at least two feed posts a week, replies and private media delivered within 48 hours on average, a certified account and regular logins. The second and third conditions are habits you can build from day one; the first depends on the traffic you bring.

How to grow on MYM from social media?

Point your existing audience at your MYM page and measure which channel converts. Promoting your MYM page from social networks is allowed; pulling MYM fans the other way is not.

Tracking links, covered in a help article MYM created in February 2026, show which outside source a fan came from; its help article on tracking links explains the setup. Use a separate link per platform and per campaign, or you will not know what worked. The help centre also has articles on RedGIFs, which MYM calls an extra acquisition channel, and on two link and promotion tools. Those articles describe the tools; they are not a guarantee of results.

Our MYM marketing page describes how we run outside traffic for creators and what we will not promise.

What is off-limits when you promote?

Inviting a MYM fan to a competing platform is listed in the creator contract as grounds for suspension or termination. So is contacting fans directly to share paid media outside MYM.

The line is easy to cross by accident. You may sell the same content on other platforms, because MYM’s terms allow paid distribution elsewhere. What you may not do is use MYM’s messaging to move MYM’s fans away. A suspension also freezes your earnings for as long as it lasts, so the cost goes beyond the fans you lose.

How do you keep the subscribers you win?

Retention decides whether growth adds up. Subscriptions are monthly and open-ended by default, and a prepaid fixed term renews as monthly when it ends, so every month a fan stays is revenue you did not have to find again.

What keeps them is mostly in the messages and the feed. Answer quickly, post on a rhythm fans can predict, and use the tools MYM gives you for lapsed and undecided fans: former subscribers and “interested” fans can be sent special offers or gifts every 7 days. Paid push media, sent to subscribers, turns attention into income between renewals.

How should you test your prices?

Change one thing at a time and give it long enough to read the result. MYM lets you set prices freely, so the risk is testing too many variables at once.

Three levers are available on the platform:

  • The subscription price, which you set before VAT. A French fan at 20% VAT sees €11.99 on a €9.99 price, by our arithmetic.
  • A first-month discount between 5% and 100%, with one campaign active at a time.
  • Promo codes. A code you issue lowers the price before MYM’s fee and bank fees; a code MYM issues comes out of MYM’s fee, leaving your earnings unchanged.

Pair each test with its own tracking link so you can tell a pricing effect from a traffic effect. Our guide on how much you can make on MYM shows how fees change what each price leaves you.

Can anyone guarantee growth on MYM?

No. MYM does not publish its ranking logic, and outside traffic depends on audiences no agency controls.

Our company figures and the four case studies on our results page come from OnlyFans accounts. On MYM we work the same levers (pricing, chat cover and traffic from outside), and we say plainly that the outcome is not guaranteed.
