MYM Push Media
Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated
MYM push media are photos or videos a creator sends unprompted through private messages, to one fan or to many, either free or behind a price. They are MYM’s version of what other platforms call PPV. A paid push only reaches fans who subscribe to you. Private media works the other way round: the fan asks, you quote, and you must deliver within 72 hours of payment.
MYM is the French subscription platform run by Air Medias SAS in Paris. The definitions below come from its terms of use and creator contract, read on 30 September 2026. Short definitions of each term are also in our glossary.
How does MYM push media work?
You pick the media, the price and who receives it, then send it through messaging. For a paid push, MYM’s terms require the fan to hold a subscription to you, so the audience for paid pushes is your subscriber list.
The terms define push media as any media a creator offers spontaneously to one or more users through private messaging (terms of use, sections 1 and 7.2.2, in French). Because the definition covers one fan as well as many, you can send a broad offer to everyone or a single piece to one person who has been asking.
There is a second, lighter channel for people who have not subscribed. Fans who starred your profile, bookmarked it, liked a public photo or abandoned a checkout count as “interested”, and they, along with former subscribers, can receive special offers or gifts from you every 7 days.
If a team helps with your messages, note one limit MYM publishes: its article on Infloww, the only CRM MYM has an official partnership with, says push messages cannot be sent from Infloww for now.
How should you price push media?
MYM publishes no minimum or maximum for push media prices, so the number is yours. Set it before VAT; the fan pays VAT on top according to their country.
What you keep is easier to reason about with MYM’s own example. On €100 of media bought by a fan in France, MYM adds 20% VAT (€120 paid), takes 7% bank fees on the €120 (€8.40) out of the €100 pre-VAT price, then keeps 20% of the €91.60 left: you receive €73.28. The same sale to a fan in the United States, with no VAT, leaves €74.40. The contract says bank fees are 3.5% for accounts MYM does not class as high risk; the help centre states 7% flat. Our MYM fees guide explains both.
Who receives which offer matters as much as the price. A new subscriber, a fan who bought last week and a fan who has gone quiet respond to different things, and sending the same push to all three wastes the list. In one of our case studies, an OnlyFans account, PPV open rates went from 15% to over 40% within 14 days. That result comes from OnlyFans; on MYM we work the same levers of segmenting, timing and pricing.
What is private media on MYM?
Private media is custom content a fan requests through messaging, at a price you quote. The creator contract gives you 72 hours from payment to deliver.
The deadline is binding, so accept only what you can shoot in time. Speed also counts toward SuperStar status, which asks for replies and private media delivered within 48 hours on average. As with everything else you send, the media must show you; anyone else appearing needs a photographer account and proof of consent.
What is Media on Demand (MOD)?
Media on Demand is a paid library that fans reach from a “Media On Demand” tab on your profile. It works as a catalogue that sells without you starting a conversation.
MYM’s terms describe the tab but say little else about it, and the contract’s fee table does not list MOD as a separate line. Check the fee shown in your dashboard before you price a library item.
How do push media, private media and MOD compare?
They split by who starts the sale. You start a push, the fan starts a private media request, and MOD waits for the fan to find it.
| Push media | Private media | Media on Demand | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who starts it | You, unprompted | The fan, by asking | The fan, by browsing |
| Where it appears | Private messages | Private messages | Tab on your profile |
| Who can buy | Subscribers, for paid pushes | The fan who asked | Not specified in the terms we read |
| Price | Set by you, no published limit | Quoted by you per request | Set by you |
| Delivery rule | Sent at once | Within 72 hours of payment | Available in the library |
| MYM fee in the contract | 20% plus bank fees | 20% plus bank fees | Not listed as its own line |
How do the three fit together?
The subscription gets a fan through the door, push media sells to them regularly, private media serves the few who want something made for them, and MOD catches people who prefer to browse.
In practice most of this runs through messages, which is why messaging cover and push planning tend to be handled together. Our MYM chatting page explains how we staff that, and how MYM works covers subscriptions, lives and tips alongside these formats.
